Kairi Sane Thanks WWE And Fans, WWE Wishes Kairi Well On Her Next Voyage

Kairi Sane thanks everyone for her time in WWE.

Sane's time with WWE is done as her contract has reportedly expired and will not return to the company. On tonight's episode of Raw, Sane was attacked by Bayley in the middle of Asuka's Raw Women's Title Match against Sasha Banks, forcing Asuka to go and help Sane out and allowing Banks to win the title by count-out.

After the match, Sane went to Twitter to thank the company and the fans for the last few years of support. Sane is a former WWE Women's Tag Team and NXT Women's Champion and is also the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic.

WWE put out the following statement:

Following Monday Night Raw, Kairi Sane took to Twitter to thank her fellow Superstars, WWE staff and the WWE Universe for their support as she prepares to leave WWE.

Sane joined WWE in 2017, winning the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Along with the hearts of the WWE Universe, she would go on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Asuka.

Sane’s fellow Superstars responded in kind on social media.

It was previously reported by PWInsider that Kairi's final date on her WWE contract was July 20. WWE taped two episodes of Raw on Monday with one airing on July 20 and the other airing on July 27. Sane is reportedly finishing her WWE run on good terms. She has reportedly made the decision to return to Japan to be with her husband.

Fightful Select reported on July 1 that as of May, there were plans for her to return to Japan and serve as an ambassador for WWE in Japan, but there has been no update on those plans. Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT reported Sane leaving WWE was "not set in stone" and WWE was reportedly intent on taking care of her.
