Kamala shares a story from his time as an in-ring performer.
Texas Wrestling Hall Of Famer James Harris has competed under many names throughout his career in the sport of professional wrestling but is widely known as Kamala "The Ugandan Giant". The "Kamala" character was established before he got to the World Wrestling Federation. Harris had three stints in the WWF and during his second run he got to mix it up with the then-WWF World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan on a number of occasions. One of those occasions Kamala did not fare too well in from a reality aspect because he was impaired during the bout. Kamala told this story when he guest appeared on 'The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz' and added that Hogan had to hold him up for the majority of the match.
“The only [story] that I can remember about Hulk Hogan is going to the Nassau Coliseum to wrestle him, and I was drinking, and I got pretty [damn] smashed so I [didn’t] really think a lot before my match anyway, and so when I got there I was too drunk to put the paint on my face." Kamala said. "So, anyway, Hogan said, ‘We got to go home brother because we got a sell out’. So anyway, Kim Chee just put a couple stripes on my head and made me look like an Indian and pushed me out and put a lot of shaving cream on my back, and when I got in the ring Hogan had to mostly hold me.”
