Kurt Angle knew fans chanted 'You Suck' because he was a heel.
During the later stages of his run in WWE, Kurt Angle was someone who routinely received negative chants whenever his theme music would hit, as crowd's chanted 'You Suck' at the Olympic Gold Medalist.
While speaking to Sportskeeda's Bill Apter in a new interview, Angle spoke on if the chants bothered him, with the WWE Hall Of Famer noting that he knew the chants were due to him being a heel.
"No, no. I knew it was because I was a heel. Edge is the one that came up with it. The fans were chanting 'Angle!' to my song, and one night Edge did a promo and he said, 'They shouldn't cheer Angle, they should cheer you suck,' so that's when it caught on."
