Kane Willing To Wrestle If He Becomes Mayor

Kane would wrestle in Knoxville and as Mayor.

This November, Glenn Jacobs (also known as Kane) will be in an election for Mayor of Knox County Tennessee as the republican candidate. In an interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jacobs was asked if he would wrestle as "Mayor Kane" if he wins the election.

“I never rule anything out," said Jacobs. "I think it would be great to have a PPV here in Knoxville. We haven’t had one in forever. If there’s a PPV, it would be an honor for me to take part in that,” he continued.

It should be noted Knoxville's population is only slightly more than 100,000 people but there is an arena on the University of Tennessee's campus that could hold over 20,000 people.

Jacobs was also asked about the public's opinion of wrestling considering he is a professional wrestler working towards a public office.

“I don’t think that the wrestling thing is what it once was. We’ve had some people that have been so successful like (The Rock) and John Cena doing all the stuff that he’s doing that perception is changing and rightfully so,” said Jacobs.
