List Of WWE Releases Including Talent, Producers, And More

WWE has started the cutback process.

Fightful will update this list with confirmed, announced, and reported releases as they are made.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan To Miss NJPW Road To Tokyo Dome Event

WWE has confirmed that the following wrestlers have been released:

* Curt Hawkins - Originally signed in 2006-2014, rejoined in 2016, was teaming with Zack Ryder on WWE Raw, former multi-time Tag Team Champion.

* Karl Anderson - Signed in 2016, signed new five-year deal in July 2019, was teaming with Luke Gallows in a stable with AJ Styles on WWE Raw, appeared at WrestleMania 36 in the Boneyard Match, former multi-time Tag Team Champion.

* Lio Rush - Signed in 2017, part of the NXT brand, former NXT Cruiserweight Champion

* Drake Maverick - Signed in 2017, former 205 Live General Manager, was set to compete in interim NXT Cruiserweight Title Tournament, former multi-time 24/7 Champion

* EC3 - Signed in 2018, off television since September 2019 due to reported concussion issues, former multi-time 24/7 Champion

* Luke Gallows - Originally signed 2005-2010, rejoined in 2016, signed five-year deal in July 2019, was teaming with Karl Anderson in a stable with AJ Styles on WWE Raw, appeared at WrestleMania 36 in the Boneyard Match, former multi-time Tag Team Champion

* Eric Young - Signed in 2016, mainly competing on WWE Main Event, former NXT Tag Team Champion

* Heath Slater - Signed in 2006, part of WWE SmackDown, former multi-time Tag Team Champion

* Kurt Angle - Signed in 1998-2006, returned in 2017 as Raw General Manager, retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35, worked backstage as a producer, WWE Hall of Famer and Grand Slam Champion.

* Aiden English - Signed in 2012, worked as an announcer, former NXT Tag Team Champion.

* Mike Chioda - Joined in 1989, longest-tenured referee in WWE history.

* Sarah Logan - Signed in 2016, part of WWE Raw brand, wrestled Shayna Baszler on Monday's WWE Raw.

* Rowan - Signed in 2011, competed against Drew McIntyre on March 9 WWE Raw where his spider was squashed, former multi-time Tag Team Champion.

* Primo - Signed in 2007, last worked dark matches in February 2019, violated WWE wellness policy in December 2019, former multi-time Tag Team Champion.

* Epico - Signed in 2010, last worked dark matches in February 2019, former Tag Team Champion.

* Mike Kanellis - Signed in 2017, signed new five-year deal 2019, was teaming with Tony Nese on 205 Live, former multi-time 24/7 Champion.

* Maria Kanellis - Signed in 2004-2010, rejoined in 2017 and signed new five-year deal in 2019, was on television while pregnant at the end of 2019, delivered baby in February 2020, former 24/7 Champion.

* Zack Ryder - Signed in 2006, part of WWE Raw and teaming with Curt Hawkins, former Tag Team, Intercontinental and United States Champion.

* No Way Jose - Signed in 2015, wrestled Bobby Lashley on Monday's WWE Raw.

* Rusev - Signed in 2010, part of WWE Raw, lasted wrestled on television in February, former multi-time United States Champion.

WWE has come to terms on the release of Kurt Angle, Rusev (Miroslav Barnyashev), Drake Maverick (James Curtin), Zack Ryder (Matthew Cardona), Curt Hawkins (Brian Myers), Karl Anderson (Chad Allegra), Luke Gallows (Drew Hankinson), Heath Slater (Heath Miller), Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz), Rowan (Joseph Ruud), Sarah Logan (Sarah Rowe), No Way Jose (Levis Valenzuela), Mike Chioda, Mike Kanellis (Mike Bennett), Maria Kanellis, EC3 (Michael Hutter), Aiden English (Matthew Rehwoldt), Lio Rush (Lionel Green), Primo (Edwin Colon) and Epico (Orlando Colon Nieves). We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Additionally, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that backstage producers Billy Kidman, Mike Rotunda, Dave Finlay, Pat Buck, Shawn Daivari, Scott Armstrong, Sarah Stock, Shane Helms and Lance Storm have been released. WWE has not confirmed those departures. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that the producers have been furloughed and not let go entirely.

PWInsider also reports that Performance Center coaches Serena Deeb, Ace Steel, and Kendo Kashin were released.

Writer Andrea Listenberger, who worked on the Otis & Mandy Rose storyline, confirmed she has been released.

Aleksandar Jaksic confirmed he was released from his Performance Center contract.

Deonna Purrazzo confirmed she was released. She recently wrestled Nia Jax on Raw and was part of NXT.

MJ Jenkins confirmed her release, saying COVID-19 took her brother-in-law and her dream job.

Announcer Jerry Soto confirmed he was furloughed.

Josiah Williams, who worked on music projects for NXT, confirmed his situation is up in the air and he hopes to be back soon.

Nick Ogarelli, who was part of the February 2019 PC class and had wrestled on NXT live events, confirmed his release.

The Wrestling Observer reports Dorian Mak (Dan Matha), announcer Jon Quasto and interviewer Kathy Campanelli have been released.

PWInsider reports Taynara Conti has been released. Conti was signed to NXT and had made a handful of appearances on television. Fightful Select noted that Conti's name had been rumored. Additionally, it is reported that Cezar Bononi, who signed with WWE in 2015 has been released and 2018 Chinese recruit, Mars Wang was also let go.

Fightful can confirm Tino Sabbatelli has been released. He had been in NXT since 2015.

Mohamed Fahim, Marcos Gomes, Faisal Kurdi, Hussain Aldagal and Yifeng (Rocky) have all had their profiles removed from the WWE Performance Center website.
