A new challenger has emerged for the NXT Women's Championship.
At NXT TakeOver 36, Raquel Gonzalez defender her title against Dakota Kai. After over a year of teaming together, Dakota Kai turned on Gonzalez last month, declaring her intentions to challenge for the NXT Women's Championship.
After a hard-hitting affair, Gonzalez was able to put away Kai with a top rope chokeslam. During her celebration, Kay Lee Ray's music hit. She came on the stage, stared down Raquel, and the segment ended.
Ray is a former NXT UK Women's Champion who had a record-setting 649-day reign with the belt.

Gonzalez first won the NXT Women's Champion at WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April.
