Kenny Omega has been sidelined since December, battling diverticulitis. He did return to AEW television in May, but was attacked by The Young Bucks (Nicholas Jackson & Matthew Jackson) and Kazuchika Okada.
Omega underwent surgery to help his road to recovery.
Speaking to NJPW, Omega gave an update on his health.
"If they cleared me tomorrow, I would be back in the ring. There’s a lot I don’t know right now, but I’d absolutely love to be on a stage like Wrestle Dynasty," admitted Omega.
NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty takes place on January 5, 2025.
Omega has been training with Kota Ibushi ahead of his potential return. Ibushi stated that they were getting tuned up for AEW, which would be soon. As of now, it is unknown when Omega will return to the ring.
