NJPW is getting a big shot in the arm, after losing several talent due to injury. Now, one of their top dogs has chimed in.
Kota Ibushi was announced for this year's G1 Climax field.
Ibushi left New Japan following his neck injury, opting instead to work as a freelancer, even participating in WWE's Cruiserweight and Dusty Rhodes tag classics. His return drew the attention of Kenny Omega, who has a storied history with the 35-year old star. The two captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles, in addition to five reigns in DDT Pro.
Omega is fresh off of a draw at NJPW Dominion with Okada.
