AEW announced that Kenny Omega will be "returning soon" to AEW.
A video package highlighting Omega aired during the December 18th episode of AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash.
Kenny Omega is set to return to the ring at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5th when he faces Gabe Kidd.
Omega has been sidelined since December 2023 after being diagnosed with diverticulitis and undergoing surgery.
He has given us classic moments and matches throughout his entire career.

It is unknown when Omega will be back on AEW television. He was last seen live on AEW TV on the May 1st episode of AEW Dynamite when he was attacked by The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson), Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry. He was shown on video from a hospital bed a week later.
