Omega was reportedly bitten by Ace Steel during an altercation following CM Punk's AEW All Out media scrum where he aired his grievances with The Elite (Omega & The Young Bucks), Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana. After his scrum, Punk and Steel got into an altercation with Omega and the Bucks. Along with Steel biting Omega, Punk reportedly threw punches and Steel reported threw a chair.

On September 16, Fightful Select reported, "Those we've spoken to say that the bite marks on Omega's left forearm would be hard to avoid being seen if Omega was photographed any time in the weeks following the situation. We were told it was "unmistakable," that it was a bite."

AEW is reportedly investigating the altercation and the parties involved along with Michael Nakazawa, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels and Brandon Cutler were suspended. Nakazawa, Buck, Daniels, and Cutler have since resumed their AEW duties but Punk, Steel, and The Elite remain suspended.

Omega, Nakazawa, and Daniels were scheduled to visit Japan for Tokyo Game Show to promote AEW Fight Forever before the suspensions.

Omega and the Bucks won the AEW Trios Championships at AEW All Out, but the titles were vacated on the subsequent episode of AEW Dynamite and won by Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix, & Penta El Zero Miedo).

While in Japan, Omega reunited with Kota Ibushi. Fans can check out reunion photos by clicking here.
