KENTA: One Of My Worst Experiences Was Not Being Allowed To Use A Move I Created For 4 Years

KENTA vents his frustrations.

KENTA, the man who invented the GTS finishing maneuver later used by CM Punk, has often taken Punk to task over his usage of the move. Now, he has released a tweet saying that "one of the worst experiences" in his career was not being allowed to use a move he created for 4 years. He never notes what maneuver he is referring to, however.

Just as CM Punk was leaving WWE in 2014, KENTA arrived in the promotion, officially signing with WWE in June 2014. KENTA would be known as Hideo Itami during his run there and has since verbally lambasted that portion of his career on multiple occasions. KENTA sporadically hit the maneuver in WWE, doing so for the first time on television at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II in 2016.

CM Punk currently works for AEW but was recently stripped of their World Championship following a backstage altercation involving him and The Elite following All Out 2022. It is said that his overall status with the company is dependent on a third-party investigation.

KENTA recently agreed with comments made by Bobby Fish regarding CM Punk's behavior. Fans can read Bobby Fish's comments at this link.
