Kevin Nash: Dennis Rodman Was Chill

Kevin Nash comments on working with Dennis Rodman.

NBA star Dennis Rodman had an infamous run as a member of the New World Order, as he made some appearances for WCW. The former NBA Champion appeared at WCW Uncensored 1997 and competed at Bash at the Beach that year. Rodman even clashed with NBA star Karl Malone in a tag team match at WCW Bash at the Beach 1998. He later returned in 1999.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast with co-host Sean Oliver, Kevin Nash was asked about working with Dennis Rodman.

“He was chill. He was one of those guys that, I think when you got alone with him and talked to him, he was just a quiet [guy]. Wasn’t nothing outrageous," Nash said.

Oliver then noted that he was probably a handful for Chicago Bulls Head Coach Phil Jackson, given his behavior. Nash noted that he could see how Jackson might have a problem with Rodman skipping practice so he could smoke cigars with the New World Order.

“I think the Zen Master, I mean, [Rodman] was in his Carmen Electra phase. He left, didn’t go to practice and smoked Cuban cigars with us, so I could see how Phil might have a problem with that," Nash said.

Rodman, a five-time NBA Champion with the Chicago Bulls, returned to wrestling when he appeared on the September 2, 2023, episode of AEW Collision.
