Kevin Nash believes that WCW in 1992 was a greater threat to WWE than AEW is right now.
In 1992, WCW wasn't always known for the most high-quality pro wrestling television. While there were fun acts like Sting, The Dangerous Alliance, and Flyin' Brian Pillman, there was also a lack of Ric Flair and attempts at creating characters through silly acts such as Vinnie Vegas. The man who once portrayed Vinnie Vegas is saying that WCW in their state of disarray in 1992 posed more of a threat to WWE than AEW does today.
Speaking on the most recent episode of his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash discussed the most recent TKO Group Holdings earnings report. He went on to say that he told an executive his thoughts about '92 WCW compared to today's AEW and that the unnamed executive resoundingly agreed.
"I talked to a very, very high-up WWE person, yes [Sean Oliver asked if he meant executive], and I won’t divulge his name. But I said to him, ‘I actually think that WCW in ‘92 was more of a threat to the WWE right now than AEW was, and he said, ‘Fuck, without a doubt.’"
