Speaking to Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated, Owens said nothing has changed with his contract status, just there is less time remaining on it.

In December 2021, Kevin Owens signed a new contract with WWE, which was later revealed to be a three-year deal.

Owens originally signed with WWE in August 2014 and recently celebrated his ten-year anniversary with the company.

Owens is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Bash In Berlin.
