Kevin Owens Wins Unsanctioned Match Featuring Barbed Wire Chair And More Against Sami Zayn At WWE Elimination Chamber

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn threw everything they had at each other at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Former friends and tag team partners Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are once again bitter enemies, as they have been locked in a bitter feud since Owens hit Zayn with a Package Piledriver on the February 3 episode of WWE Raw. The bad blood continued to escalate, and they clashed in an Unsanctioned Match at WWE Elimination Chamber. The lights in the arena were turned down, and the referee was dressed in an all-black outfit as well.

Zayn and Owens battled back and forth throughout the bout. Owens hit Zayn with a chair. Zayn ducked a chairshot, and Owens accidentally hit himself. Zayn then hit Owens with the chair. Zayn got a hockey stick and hit Owens with it. Owens gained the upper hand, but Zayn rallied, and they brawled into the crowd. Zayn slammed Owens through a table, picked him back up, and put him through another table.

They continued to brawl, and they returned to the ring. Owens knocked Zayn off the top and sent him crashing through a table.

Owens then drove Zayn head-first onto a chair with a Brainbuster. Zayn fired up and suplexed Owens onto a chair. Zayn went for the Helluva Kick, but Owens pulled the referee in front of him, so Sami hit the official instead. Owens hit a Stunner, and referee Charles Robinson ran in and made the two-count. Owens then leveled Robinson with a clothesline. He threw a chair at Zayn's head.

Zayn answered by throwing a chair at Owens, and Owens sent Zayn crashing through a table with a Fisherman Buster off the top rope. Zayn caught Owens with a Helluva Kick out of nowhere for a near fall. Sami brought out a chair that was wrapped in barbed wire. He hit Owens with it and sent him face-first into the barbs. Zayn then hit Owens with a Blue Thunder Bomb onto a barbed-wire-wrapped chair. Owens caught Zayn with a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Sami rolled out of the ring.

Owens wrapped a chair around Zayn's head and slammed him into the ring post twice. He dropped Zayn with a Pop-Up Powerbomb onto the apron and followed that up with another. Owens got Zayn back in the ring and pinned him.

Officials checked on Zayn after the match, and he was loaded onto a stretcher. Owens attacked security officials and exposed the bare floor, but the returning Randy Orton stopped him. Orton took the fight to Owens and dropped him with an RKO. He went for the Punt Kick, but security guards stopped him. Orton proceeded to drop several of them with RKOs.

During the WWE Elimination Chamber Post-Show, the broadcast team noted that Zayn had been taken to the hospital, but no further details were provided.
