Kota Ibushi is opening his own wrestling school.

Ibushi spoke with BBM Japan to announce the establishment of his wrestling school. The school will provide dorm and meals for six months. Tuition is 800,000 yen (roughly $6,072.80) for the six months. Kota said he would like to broadcast the training process on his YouTube channel.

Further details weren't provided and it is unknown when the school will officially open.

Ibushi is set to compete in his first match since the G1 Climax 2021 final against Kazuchika Okada at GCW Bloodsport against "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Ibushi suffered a shoulder injury in the bout against Okada and has been sidelined ever since.

"I have no problem moving normally, and in terms of training, I have no problem with passive and rope work. I think I'm about 90% recovered, and I have no problem competing," he said.

Ibushi noted he began training in earnest around December of last year.
