Kota Ibushi is set to return to the ring at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport on March 30 when he will face "Speedball" Mike Bailey. He is also set to compete against Joey Janela at Joey Janela's Spring Break.
Ibushi hasn't wrestled since October 21, 2021 when he suffered a shoulder injury in the finals of the G1 Climax tournament against Kazuchika Okada. Ibushi injured his shoulder on a missed phoenix splash and the bout was immediately stopped.
Taking to social media, Ibushi says that he reinjured his shoulder while training, but still plans to compete.

Kota Ibushi vs. Speedball Mike Bailey! Unfornately Kota Ibushi did re injure his shoulder yesterday. As much as I’d like to see the match. Health comes first! For now the match is still on. pic.twitter.com/rfK2Pq50rL
