Kurt Angle Believes The Rock Could Easily Have A 30-Minute Match At WrestleMania Today

Kurt Angle has commented on The Rock keeping himself in shape and whether or not he believes "The Great One" would still be able to go in the ring.

Kurt Angle won his first WWE Championship by defeating the Rock at WWE No Mercy 2000. The Rock won his final WWE Championship of his full-time career by pinning Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat match at WWE Vengeance 2002. Through the years, both men have had a tremendous amount of respect for one another due to the number of times they squared off in the squared circle.

Now, Angle has weighed in on whether or not he believes The Rock can still return at a high level on the grand stage of WrestleMania. Speaking on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Olympic gold medalist praised Dwayne Johnson for keeping himself in shape and said he believes he could easily have a main event WrestleMania match today.

"He really trains hard, and he has been able to keep his body young and active. When you watch him train, he does a lot of not just weight training and stuff, he does a lot of plyometrics and stuff like that. I believe that he could still wrestle. I believe if he wants to do it, he could put in a good 30-minute match at WrestleMania. I don't doubt that for a second. He's able to take care of his body as much as he has lately. I don't see it being a problem for him."

During the build-up to WWE WrestleMania 39, it was reported that Dwayne Johnson didn't feel he could get in shape in time to face Roman Reigns. Fans can read Roman's comments on that here.

One wrestler that has openly stated he felt he couldn't get in shape in time to wrestle at WrestleMania is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Read more about that here.
