Kurt Angle Names Three TNA Wrestlers He Believes Should've Had Runs In WWE

Kurt Angle names TNA Wrestling stars he believes could have become WWE Superstars.

When Kurt Angle left WWE for TNA Wrestling in 2006, his defection went a long way in taking TNA Wrestling to the next level. As it turns out, Kurt Angle would wind up spending more years of his career as an active wrestler with TNA than he did in WWE. Throughout that time, Kurt Angle wrestled many unique competitors oh, some of whom made it to WWE such as AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. However, there were also a handful of competitors who never got to have major runs in WWE.

Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle says that although Abyss made it to WWE as a producer, he believes he could have also had a successful run as a wrestler. Angle also said that he believes Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian could have been successful in WWE as well.

"Oh, that's hard to pick one. I will say Abyss, he did go to WWE as a producer, but he never wrestled for WWE. I thought he should have been up there," he said. "Also, I'd say Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Those two guys were not only incredible singles wrestlers, they were incredible tag wrestlers. They had it all and those guys were incredible. I actually expected them to end up in WWE and sadly they didn't, but they're in AEW now, so that's just about as good."

Christopher Daniels worked some dates for the WWF as an enhancement talent and Frankie Kazarian had a small run with WWE in 2005 where he worked some matches on WWE Velocity. Frankie Kazarian is currently back with IMPACT and preparing for an upcoming World Championship match. Learn more about that here.

As for Abyss, while he never made it to WWE, his "brother," Joseph Parks did help AJ Styles create the PISS system. Learn more about that here.
