Kurt Angle comments on being proven wrong by Adam Copeland's debut in AEW.
Adam Copeland (Edge) arrived in AEW at AEW WrestleDream. Prior to his debut, Adam's old friend and rival, Kurt Angle, predicted that Edge would be a WWE lifer and that he did not foresee Adam Copeland heading to AEW.
Well, on the latest episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle reacted to the debut of Adam Copeland in AEW. Angles says that, although he didn't foresee it, he sees this move as a good move for wrestling and wrestling fans everywhere because Copeland now has a host of fresh matches to partake in, which will be good for his career as well.
"Let me tell you, it's a good thing, and I'm not saying this because I'm trying to protect my ass now. It's good when guys cross over because Edge, there are a lot of guys he hasn't faced in AEW. Guys like Samoa Joe or Sting, MJF, and a lot of great wrestlers. This is really good for the fans because they're gonna see new matchups, new faces, they're gonna see Edge face these different competitors, and they're going to be different matches, they're going to have a different flavor. I think it's really good. I think it's good for wrestling. I think it's good for Edge."
Kurt Angle also said that he believes Kenny Omega and Adam Copeland will be able to have a five-star match together.
"Oh, that's gonna be priceless, man. I think their matchup is definitely gonna be five-star, no doubt."
Copeland is also looking forward to all of the new matches he can potentially have now, revealing that he would like to wrestle at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome and singled out Kazuchika Okada as a potential opponent he would like to face. Read more here.
