Kurt Angle: I Don't See Edge Going To AEW, I Think He's Loyal To WWE For Life

Kurt Angle comments on Edge potentially going to AEW.

Edge recently wrestled his last match in WWE when he defeated Sheamus on the August 18 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. That was his final match on his WWE contract, and since then, there has been speculation that Adam Copeland, the man behind the character, could end up in AEW with such longtime friends and adversaries as Christian Cage, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Chris Jericho.

However, Kurt Angle does not believe that Edge will jump from WWE to another promotion. Edge has been a WWE loyalist for the entirety of his contracted career as a televised wrestler, and because of this, Kurt Angle believes that Adam Copeland will not be crossing the line.

"I think Edge is loyal to WWE. He's been loyal since day one. Don't get me wrong, a lot of other wrestlers have crossed over, especially his best friend and kind of brother, Christian, but I just don't see Edge doing that. I really believe he's going to be WWE for life," Angle said on the latest episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show.

Kurt Angle, of course, crossed the line and went to TNA Wrestling from WWE in 2006. Angle would end up spending the majority of his in-ring career outside of WWE because of this move.

In the past, Kurt Angle has talked about how much money he told Tony Khan it would take to get him to wrestle for All Elite Wrestling. Fans can read the magic number at this link.

Edge was recently removed from the WWE SmackDown intro, and there was a report that he was removed from the miscellaneous internal roster of WWE.

Fightful will report more on the status of Adam Copeland as more is known.
