Kurt Angle Says Edge Pitched Photo Callback On WWE Raw, States WWE Wants To Keep Working With Him

Kurt Angle returned to WWE television on Monday's WWE Raw in his hometown of Pittsburgh.

Angle was involved in multiple segment throughout the night, including a callback to a 2002 segment where Edge handed Kurt a set of photos reflecting on their friend. On the back of the photos Edge had written insults directed at Angle. In 2022, Edge and Angle brought the bit back, only this time, apologies were written.

Although Kurt still sucks.

"It was a lot of fun to reminisce about the past. What we were doing that night, I did a really cool and funny pre-tape with Edge and Rey Mysterio where Edge got me again with the poster boards and 'You still suck.' It was a lot of fun. We reenacted that from 2002. It was Edge's idea and it was a great idea," Angle said on his Kurt Angle Show podcast.

Angle noted that WWE was happy with how things went, "They told me after, 'Hey, we want to work with you in the future.'"

Along with the backstage segment with Edge, Angle did an in-ring segment with Chad Gable & Otis and sat ringside for Gable & Otis vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). Angle praised all four men for the work they did.

Angle also recalled how the day went and who he worked with backstage.

"They had a limo pick me up at my house, which is really cool, take me down to the event. I immediately went to rehearsal, Triple H was the head of rehearsal. He was telling me what to do, how to do it, what to say. There were also other producers. Spud [Drake Maverick] was another producer. The writer was Ryan Ward, I thought he did a great job. I haven't seen him [Triple H] in so long. To see him in his new position, he's doing so well with it. He's very comfortable. he hired a big team underneath him to take care of everything he needs to be taken care of, kind of like the way Vince did. Vince ran everything, but he had people reporting to him. Triple H had to set up his own team, the same way Vince did. Who he was comfortable with. Obviously, he hired Road Dogg, Shawn Michaels has stepped up. He's got his boys there. I think it's great because they have great chemistry together," said Angle.

The Street Profits were victorious over Alpha Academy and they celebrated by drinking some milk with Angle.
