KUSHIDA will face IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi on Jan. 29 at Korakuen Hall in what is to be his final match in NJPW.
The match will take place as part of The Road to New Beginning tour. As previously reported, KUSHIDA is scheduled to leave NJPW at the end of the month when his contract expires. It is unknown which company he will sign with next, but WWE has had interest in him since news of his contract expiring was first reported in early December.
KUSHIDA lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title to Taiji Ishimori on Jan. 4 at Wrestle Kingdom 13. The next night at New Year Dash!! he lost to Will Ospreay in six-man tag team action.
The Road to New Beginning is a 10-night tour that begins on Jan. 26 and ends on Feb. 9. You can view the full schedule here.
