Lance Archer says Monster Sauce is ready for a world tour.
Lance Archer and Alex Zayne wrapped up a somewhat successful run in the 2023 NJPW World Tag League. Though they did not win the tournament, the duo, collectively known as Monster Sauce, picked up several victories. They even beat the eventual winners, Bishamon (Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI) during the round-robin stage of the tournament. Zayne and Archer teamed up with Minoru Suzuki and Yuji Nagata on the final night and beat Alex Coughlin, Bad Luck Fale, Gabe Kidd, and Jack Bonza.
In their post-match comments, Alex Zayne said he was still hungry, and Lance Archer encouraged Tony Khan to bring them to AEW.
Alex Zayne: Sure, we didn't make it to the finals. We didn't make it to the finals of the World Sauce League, and that's alright. That's alright because we still went out on top today. It’s far from over because I’m still hungry. I still got a huge appetite, and I’m ready to eat. So I’m gonna let my boys cook."
Lance Archer: Monster Sauce will be back to Japan, one day sooner or later. But Tony, if you’re not afraid, you should bring us to AEW. You should let us run wild on the tag division. Ricky Starks, Big Bill, you’re the tag team champions right now. You think you have it on lock, but if we show up, like he said, he’s gonna sauce you, I’m gonna toss you. He’s gonna throw you, I’m going to kill you because when Monstersauce shows up, everybody dies.
Archer then took to Twitter/X and stated that Monster Sauce is not finished yet, as they are ready to take over. He said they would be back to NJPW, but other promotions, including AEW, RevPro, and CMLL, were on their list as well.
LA: Japan, we are coming back. USA, if you want some sauce, you better hit us up quick. Because we’re gonna travel all over the world. Whether it’s AEW, whether it’s the independent circuit all across the United States and the world, hell, we might even show up in CMLL. You never know. But if you hit us up, Monstersauce is coming, and we’re gonna sauce the world. Because I toss 'em, he sauces 'em. I kill 'em, he thrills him. We’re Monster Sauce, and everybody dies.
AZ: So if you want a little flavor, come get a little taste of Monstersauce, and we will eat you alive.
Archer is currently signed to AEW; he last wrestled for the company on the November 11 episode of AEW Collision. There, he and The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) lost to Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, and Sting.
