On February 1, Larry D took to social media to announce that he had requested his release from IMPACT Wrestling.
On February 4, Larry D announced that he is a free agent, seemingly confirming that he was able to obtain his release from IMPACT.

Larry D initially signed with IMPACT in December 2019. He best known for his tag team XXXL alongside Acey Romero, who was able to obtain his release from IMPACT in October 2021.
Larry last wrestled at Impact Wrestling Throwback Throwdown II - IPWF Winter War '84 in December, losing to Harry Hall (Jake Something) in a bullrope match.
