Leon Slater is looking forward to getting more opportunities in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Slater made his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the Royal Quest show in 2023, as he teamed with Cameron Khai to take on the Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney).
This was a major deal for Slater, as it was his first apperenace in a major promotion aside from IMPACT Wrestling.
In a new interview with Wrestle Purists, Slater said that he is looking forward to future dates with the promotion, as he wants to become the best Super Junior in the company.
“100%. I want to the best super junior, so that’s something I’m definitely looking forward to in the future and I know it’s going to come. Royal Quest was a great opportunity, again I got to work with Dan and first time working with Clark as well. Those boys are incredible and my tag team partner for the night, Cameron Kai, he’s only 18 years old and he’s built like a fucking animal bro. That guy, he’s got a crazy future too, so shout out Cameron Kai. But yeah man, Royal Quest was a great opportunity and again, just to be around the people like Will and be around Tanahashi and Ishii and see how everyone operates — I feel like even if I didn’t wrestle and I wasn’t on the card, I would have learned so much just from being in that environment. Again, just super thankful for the opportunities I’ve been getting lately.”
