Logan Paul reflects on ziplining in the arena ahead of his match at WWE WrestleMania 39.
Paul competed in his first WrestleMania singles match when he faced Seth Rollins at the first night of WrestleMania 39. Paul previously teamed up with The Miz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38. "The Maverick" had a special entrance ahead of the match, as he rode in on a zipline.
Speaking on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul discussed his experience at WWE WrestleMania 39. He noted that he lost to Rollins, but he got to zipline to the ring in front of 80,000 people on his birthday. Paul stated that he had a great weekend, and he had a good time celebrating his birthday with his family.
“WrestleMania in front of 80,000 people. Ziplined in on my birthday. Lost to Seth Rollins. Didn’t see that coming. What, did you expect me to win? Shut up [laughs]. Come on, that’s not my thing, dude. Great weekend. The fam is in town. You all came to support me for WrestleMania, and then the birthday dinner was nice," Paul said.
Paul went on to describe how he loves flying, which is why he requested the zipline. He described how he requested the zipline for his match at WWE WrestleMania 38, and they told him to compete in a match first. Paul then detailed how his request for a zipline at WrestleMania 39 was initially rejected, but WWE ultimately made it happen. He noted that, in doing so, WWE had to call four companies. Paul also expressed that he felt like the biggest entertainer in the world when he ziplined at WrestleMania 39.
"I love flying, which is why I requested the zip line. I requested the zip line last year at WrestleMania, my first WrestleMania ever. I said, ‘WWE, can I get a zip line in?’ They’re like, ‘Why don’t you get a match in first?’ I was like, alright, I get that. But this year, I requested the zip line again. It got denied, and I was like, ‘Hey, is it a liability thing?’ Can I convince them to do it? Is it an insurance thing? I’ll cover it. WWE got me a zipline into SoFi Stadium for my birthday. Very, very expensive stunt, and I love the WWE so much for doing this because when I was flying in the air on that zip line, I’m looking around at all these eyeballs and phones just pointed at me, and ever since I moved out to Hollywood, which is where WrestleMania took place this year, my goal was to be the biggest entertainer in the world. Goddamn, I felt like the biggest entertainer in the world. At least the highest," Paul said.
Following his loss at WWE WrestleMania 39, Logan Paul said that he didn't have a job, as his contract was over. More information is available here.
Seth Rollins has stated that he "might agree" that WWE would be stupid not to re-sign Paul. Check out his comments here.
