Though AEW has started to allow a limited number of fans into Daily's Place for tapings, AEW wrestlers remain at ringside throughout the tapings.
Often times, wrestlers are the only audience for AEW Dark, which has become a nearly three-hour show showcasing signed and unsigned talent. Front and center for the majority of AEW Dark is the Japanese Deathmatch Legend Luther.
Not only is Luther often featured on AEW Dark as a wrestler alongside Serpentico, but he is part of the ringside crowd as well.
Speaking to Fightful, Luther explained what it's like being part of the crowd for Dark and how the energy remains high through the taping.
"The show is so good. I'm not saying that to be a AEW homer, it really is a fun show. Being there live, you always have that energy. The guys need that because of all the restrictions we have now. We help give them energy, but their energy in the ring helps feed us too. Even though we're out there for the whole show, when we have our Dark matches later, the energy is still there because you have a match coming up. I always get pumped up for my match, no matter who I'm working against. Sometimes they get to be long days but it's always super fun. Dark is such a good show too. It averages 450,000-500,000 views. It's a main show, not just a YouTube show. You get great matches, it helps up-and-comers, and we have main guys on the show too. One thing that boggles my mind is I read, 'Oh, the show is too long.' It's on YouTube, if you don't like a match, you can fast forward. It's free wrestling that you're not getting anywhere else. AEW Dark is a huge cog in the wheel," he said.
When asked who has stood out on AEW Dark, Luther said, Lee Johnson, Shawn Dean, Adam Priest have impressed him.
