Madusa, also known as Alundra Blayze, comments on the state of the NXT women's division.
During the days of NXT 2.0, former WWE Women's Champion Madusa made an appearance following the beginning of the feud between Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez when Jade, a la Madusa in 1995, threw the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship belt in the trash. These days, Jade and Perez are back together and feuding with the globally acclaimed stars recently debuting in WWE, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.
Madusa recently took part in an AMA episode of her Paving The Way podcast and commented on the state of the NXT women's division, noting that she believes Giulia and Vaquer now outshine the current NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez.
"Stephanie is, I mean, she's different, definitely. I think with those two together, are going to be a great tag team. They can do it individually," Madusa said. "So I don't know what the reasoning is to bring them together. I mean, it'd be great for them to duel each other. There's just so many different ways you can go with it, both talent, I mean it, they're going to outshine -- I think both of those two could outshine Perez right now. Perez is hot because she's been carrying it and they've put a lot of time and money [in her]. I just think that Guilia and Stephanie outshine Perez now."
Madusa also put over Sol Ruca, stating that you would like to see her develop her character more because she believes that Ruca could be in the mix with Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.
"I think that Sol Ruca is a great gymnast wrestler, some great moves, but I'd like to see more of a build with her as far as the character, now, her character, I get who she is and what she is and what she's about, but I'd like to see more of the wrestling, the psychology and the not just so many moves, but more of the selling and the getting into it type of thing. I could see her getting into the Julia and Stephanie format, if they start boosting her."
Roxanne Perez recently stated that she feels Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Cora Jade and herself comprised the new NXT Four Horsewomen. Read her comments here.
