Magnus advances to AEW Revolution.
On the March 1 episode of AEW Rampage, Magnus made his AEW debut in a high-stakes singles match. Magnus, one-half of the Mexican National Tag Team Champions in CMLL, faced Matt Sydal. The winner of the bout would qualify for the All-Star Eight-Man Scramble match at AEW Revolution. The victor of that bout will earn a shot at the AEW World Championship, which is currently held by Samoa Joe.
Sydal and Magnus battled back and forth in a competitive main event. Sydal controlled the match at different points, but in the end, Magnus gained the upper hand and hit double knees in the corner to clinch the win. In doing so, he qualified for the All-Star Eight-Man Scramble match at AEW Revolution.
