Mariah May explains what went wrong for her and Toni Storm.
In the lead up to AEW All In 2024, Mariah May would take her shot at her former mentor in Toni Storm, turning on her following her victory in the women's Owen Hart Cup. The two would meet in London at All In, with May capturing the AEW Women's World Title from Toni in the process.
In a new interview with Going Ringside, Mariah was asked what happened between her and Toni after a clip was shown of Toni praising Mariah during her Timeless run.
"This (AEW Women's World Title) is what happened. You know, there can only be one at the top. And I think I am the face of AEW, not Toni Storm."
Mariah and Toni Storm are set for a face to face on tonight's edition of AEW Collision ahead of their rematch at Grand Slam: Australia next month.
In another recent interview, May noted that she would like more mic time in the ring in front of fans. You can read more about that here.
