Mariah May enjoys having something to sink her teeth into.

Mariah May signed with AEW and debuted in November 2023. She aligned with Toni Storm, and the two have been involved in a dynamic storyline ever since. May often helped Storm win and retain her AEW Women's World Champion, but she turned on Storm after she won the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament. May will challenge Storm for the title at AEW All In.

Speaking on Busted Open, Mariah May discussed her storyline with Toni Storm. She also highlighted working with RJ City.

"Growing up as a wrestling fan, I was always attracted to the big storylines. You don’t really remember the matches, you just remember the moments, so I’ve always been really big on that. The reason that I chose AEW was because Tony Khan came to me with this story, so it was like, ‘Okay, I’m not just being signed to a company because she’s got a bit of momentum or anything like that.’ It was like, we have a real plan for you, and it was something to sink my teeth into, and I’ve got to work really closely with RJ City, who’s such a talented writer, on this whole character and this whole story, and then when it came to the video package, I feel like they have ideas for me, and then it’s great because I can contribute my own thing and make it feel more me, but I do stab people in the head with shoes on a regular basis, so it was pretty easy to pull into," May said.

In another interview, May said that AEW was the perfect place for her to take over women's wrestling. Click here to see what she had to say.
