Mark Briscoe Doesn't Take Kindly To WWE On FOX Twitter Account's Usage Of 'Dem Boyz'

It's not that Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits aren't great, but to Mark Briscoe, there's only one team that is "Dem Boyz."

On December 8, the WWE on FOX Twitter account tweeted out a picture of Bobby Lashley, Angelo Dawkins, and Montez Ford and captioned it "Dem Boyz." Before the tragic passing of Jay Briscoe in 2023, The Briscoes were referred to as Dem Boyz for years.

Mark Briscoe got around to responding to the tweet on December 10, tagging Triple H in the Tweed and saying that whoever runs the account should be fired "for lack of knowledge" or at least have the taste slapped out of their mouth for "lack of reverence."

Mark Briscoe returned to Twitter later in the day to say that he doesn't actually want to see anybody get fired.

Briscoe also admitted that he was just emotionally struck by the use of the term.

The Twitter account is not run by anybody directly employed by WWE and is a FOX-based Twitter account operated by a fan. WWE will be leaving FOX in October 2024 when SmackDown returns to the USA Network.

Mark Briscoe is currently working for AEW. Briscoe will be teaming up with FTR's Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler in a Fight Without Honor against three men who are no strangers to WWE programming, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Bryan Danielson at Ring of Honor Final Battle 2023.

The match will be held in honor of Jay Briscoe's memory. Learn more about the contest here.
