"The young kid that was a bassist, he was a friend of our family. I knew the kid really well and I knew his grandfather really well, Dr. Mason. We spent time together and we are in a couple civic organizations that try to help people out. It was just tragic to lose a kid like that, so young and so full of life.  He was talented, talented bassist, traveled and competed," said Henry

Austin is a resilient city according to Henry and will recover from these horrible actions. But he said the city needs to focus on diversity and working together.

On March 21st, a man believed to be the culprit committed suicide via bomb when law enforcement were attempting to apprehend him.
