Matt Cardona and Tyrus will sign the contract for their upcoming title match on the January 31 episode of NWA Powerrr.
Cardona beat Trevor Murdoch to win the gold at NWA PowerrrrTrip in February. After he suffered a torn bicep at the end of May, Cardona relinquished the championship at NWA Alwayz Ready, where Murdoch recaptured the title. Cardona later returned to the ring, and he went on to challenge for the gold at NWA Hard Times 3 on November 12. There, Tyrus defeated Murdoch and Cardona in a three-way match to win the championship. However, Cardona will get the chance to challenge for the title in a singles match.
In a tweet on December 9, NWA announced that Cardona and Tyrus will sign the contract for their match on the live episode of NWA Powerrr in Knoxville, Tennessee, on January 31, 2023. The title match will be at NWA's next pay-per-view, but specific details have not been confirmed yet.
