Matt Cardona shares his thoughts on John Cena.
During his WWE career as Zack Ryder, Matt Cardona was involved in a storyline with John Cena. Their friendship was featured on WWE Raw, but it took a turn when Cena kissed Eve Torres, Ryder's storyline love interest, on Raw in 2012. Ryder's misfortune continued when Cena's rival, Kane, targeted him and pushed him off the stage in a wheelchair. Over a decade later, Cardona has forgotten about what Cena did.
In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Cardona was asked to share his thoughts on Cena, as Malcolm noted that the former WWE Champion "stole" Eve Torres from him. Cardona noted that he thinks Cena is the man, but he'd want to lay him out if he returned to WWE. The Indy God also claimed that he can see Cena.
“I think John Cena is the man. I have nothing but respect and love for John. People ask me all the time, ‘Are you coming to WWE?’ I don’t know. But if I did, I’d want to lay out John Cena. Like you just said, it’s because of John Cena, I got pushed off the stage in a wheelchair. It’s because of John Cena I got kicked in the nuts at WrestleMania. So John Cena, if you’re watching this, I can see you. That’s all that matters. I can see him," Cardona said.
