Jeff Hardy is out of action for the foreseeable future with a shoulder injury. That means it might be time for Matt Hardy to be Broken. Or Woken.
Whatever personality the former WWE tag team champion adopts, he’s clearly ready to release it upon the WWE sooner rather than later.
In a tweet posted Sunday night, nearly 24 hours before RAW goes live on the USA Network, Hardy welcomes a side we have yet to see from him on WWE television.
Hardy remixes his customary “I knew you’d come” phrase by proclaiming, “Denver, you knew I’d come.” Either Matt is hinting that he’s ready to bring merge the broken universe with the WWE universe or he’s just announcing, with a weird accent, that he’ll be on Monday’s edition of RAW in Denver.
Some have pointed to Hardy’s hair as a sign that he ready to be Woken or Broken. The blonde streak has been in his hair since the Hardy’s returned at WrestleMania 33, but his hair does appear to be slightly more disheveled.
Since his WrestleMania return, Matt has teased being Broken, then Woken, then Broken and Woken on social media with nothing translating to television. Last week, with Jeff on the sidelines, Matt teamed with Jason Jordan to score a victory over Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.
A legal battle with Anthem has delayed Hardy from bringing the beloved Broken character to WWE, but it looks like we’re closer than ever to seeing Matt’s Broken/Woken Brilliance unleashed on RAW in DELIGHTFUL fashion.
