Matt Riddle won MLW Battle Riot VII, successfully retaining his MLW World Heavyweight Title in the match. Riddle entered the Battle Riot at number 25.
The finish saw Riddle shove Rob Van Dam, who entered at number 40, off the top rope as he went up top for the five-star frog splash.

Riddle won MLW Battle Riot VI in 2024.
For the first time ever, the MLW World Title, which was held by Riddle coming into the match, was won the line. In the past, the winner of Battle Riot would earn a shot at the title.
