Maven is embarassed of his Tough Enough audition tape.
The former Hardcore Champion is known by most fans for winning the first season of WWE Tough Enough alongside Nidia Guenard. Despite winning the season, it turns out that Maven's audition tape might have been actively bad.
While speaking to Conrad Thompson on the latest edition of The False Finish (via AdFreeShows), Maven described the "cringeworthy" tape in detail.
“Oh brother, it’s so cringeworthy. I have it. It’s so cringey. Here’s what I did — I’m sitting at a table, inside mind you, with sunglasses on. I’m reading, you can’t tell what I’m reading, but I was reading [PWTorch]. I’m reading the Torch, that was my Christmas present my mom got me one year. I put the Torch down, my main goal was to prove that I had wrestling knowledge and explain why the WWE needed me and why I was their next breakout star. That was my goal.”
Tough Enough audition tapes for non-WWE stars like MJF, John Silver, and Shane Mercer can be found on YouTube.
Elsewhere in the interview, Maven said that he didn't learn how to wrestle until he was released from WWE. Learn more by clicking here.
