NXT Great American Bash adds a grudge Eight-Person Tag Team Match to the Kickoff Show.
NXT Great American Bash on July 30, 2023, will see the return of Kickoff matches as the team of Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson) take on the foursome of Nathan Frazer, Dragon Lee, Valentina Feroz, and Yulisa Leon.
These two teams have regularly feuded as their problems largely stem around the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. Brought to America by Noam Dar from NXT UK, Nathan Frazer captured the championship by defeating Oro Mensah. Mensah was a stand-in for his stablemate during NXT Gold Rush because an injury kept Noam from being able to compete.
Being without the NXT Heritage Cup Championship sent Noam Dar into a comatose state, and he was only awakened on July 25 when Meta-Four presented him with a faux version of the Cup he holds so dearly. However, the presentation of an illegitimate prize led to a confrontation with their opponents on July 30, with the baby faces getting the better of Meta-Four on the go-home episode of NXT.
