Metalik Says He Will No Longer Be Competing For CMLL

Metalik exits CMLL.

On July 14, 2023, Gran Metalik made his CMLL return after a six-year hiatus, teaming with Templario & Mascara Dorada 2.0 in a successful outing against Barbaro Cavernario, Templario & Virus. Metalik competed in 10 more matches for the company, but he announced that he would end his tenure again.

Via his Twitter, Metalik announced that his most recent run in the Mexican Promotion had come to an end. He did thank the fans who supported him during his latest run in the promotion. He stated the following:

“I want to tell all my fans that I am no longer going to continue competing for CMLL. We did not reach a deal and, well, thanks to everyone who supported me in my return now that I was in Mexico. We continue with everything from the hand of God."

Metalik's last match in CMLL was on the July 28, 2023 edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, where he was defeated by Titan via submission. Metalik recently competed on the August 5, 2023 edition of AEW Collision, facing Bullet Club Gold's "Switchblade" Jay White.
