WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley comments on the upcoming documentary about Chyna and says he has been trying to gather some of her lost memorabilia.
Chyna was one of the most popular stars during the Attitude Era. She rose to prominence alongside Triple H, and she was one of the original members of D-Generation X. Chyna also broke out on her own, and she made history as the first woman to compete in the Royal Rumble and the King of the Ring tournament. In another impressive milestone, she also won the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice, and she is the only woman who has ever held the title. She is also a former WWF Women's Champion. Chyna left WWE in 2021, and she later passed away in 2016.
On the newest episode of his Foley Is Pod podcast, Foley looked back on Chyna's life and career. In one highlight, he brought up her upcoming A&E documentary, and he noted that his daughter, Noelle, will be in it. Foley stated that Noelle and Chyna were very close when she was younger.
“This is something I cannot supply for our podcast because our friends at A&E are really super enthusiastic about the Chyna documentary they’ve put together. They feel like they tell a great story. I mentioned my daughter, and they were asking about this relationship with my daughter, [their] friendship. I said, ‘Would you like to ask her? She’s visiting, she’s in town.’ So I make a quick call, [and] Noelle will be part of the documentary," Foley said.
Foley then noted that there were several pictures of Chyna and Noelle together, and his daughter viewed Chyna as a role model. Later in the show, Foley revealed that he has been on the hunt for some of Chyna's lost memorabilia, and some will it will likely be on display, possibly at the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event. He made it clear that he has been honored to take on this challenge so that fans can enjoy the memories of Chyna's career.
“I have gone out on the road pursuing some of Joanie’s most memorabilia, and it’s been a great journey, and an honor to try to track it down, and bring it to a place where it can be enjoyed by tens of thousands of people, which we believe at this point will be at the Royal Rumble. So it’s been really good to be there hands-on, trying to track down some of those incredible memories that she created for us," Foley said.
