Mick Foley comments on The Rock's heel run.
The Rock has turned heel on the road to WrestleMania 40, and he shocked the wrestling world by making Cody Rhodes bleed on the March 25 episode of WWE Raw.
In a video on his YouTube channel, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley live-reacted to The Rock attacking Cody Rhodes on the March 25 episode of WWE Raw while drinking some ZOA.
“Woah, heavy. Let’s talk some ‘Mania. [Asked what he thought] I liked it, yeah. I like that beat-down. I like that other side of The Rock. It would have been really easy for him to just lean back into what was comfortable because that’s like an easy chair for The Rock because he knows that character so well. So to put a twist on it, come out with a harder edge…little blood in the right place never hurt anybody. I think it was really good, and only is gonna pique interest. It certainly piqued mine," Foley said.
Foley was then asked whether he thought the more serious turn was good overall. He praised The Rock and his ability to execute. Foley also joked that The Rock should sell the bloody belt on eBay, as he noted that it would probably go for a lot of money.
“Yeah, I feel like…look, the ingredients are all there. Rock, as long as he’s there, it’s going to be a success, but the level of success depends on the execution, and in that case, I hope I’m not plagiarizing Bret Hart, but The Rock was the Excellence of Execution there. Everything he did was really good, and I definitely want to advise The Rock to put that weight belt up on eBay [laughs]. That would go for a lot of money," Foley said.
At WrestleMania 40 Night One, The Rock and Roman Reigns will face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
