Lexis King will defend his NXT Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey at NXT New Year's Evil.
The bout will be contested under sudden death rules, which means one fall to a finish.
NXT GM Ava made the match official on the December 31st episode of NXT. King won the Heritage Cup by DQ on the December 24th episode of NXT when William Regal, King's cornerman, hit King.
