Last night at Ring of Honor Final Battle, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett won their match and earned a measure of revenge against The Righteous but the tables were quickly turned and now, Mike Bennett is suffering from an injury.
After losing the match last night, Vincent and Bateman immediately struck and injured Bennett by using a woodblock and a steel chair to the ankle, which Bennett would later say on Twitter has caused a hairline fracture which will see him miss action for over a month.
I wanted to wait till later this week to address my ankle because I didn’t want it to take away from #FinalBattle. But I think it’s better to get it out there & move past it. I have a hairline fracture in my ankle. Recovery time is about 6 weeks. I’ll be back sooner. @ringofhonor

Earlier this year, Bennett was released by WWE as part of the cuts made on Wednesday, April 15, in the name of cost-effectiveness. In the time since, he has competed for UWN and Ring of Honor, even saying that leaving Ring of Honor was the worst professional decision he's ever made.
