The Miz: If WrestleMania 27 Main Event Was Stopped It Would Have Been The Biggest Regret Of My Life

The Miz looks back on WrestleMania 27.

At WrestleMania 27, The Miz would defend his WWE Championship against John Cena in the main event of the show. During the course of the match, Cena would tackle The Miz over a barricade, causing The Miz to suffer a reported concussion, requiring him to be guided through the remainder of the main event by referee Mike Chioda, Cena and The Rock.

In a new interview with ESPN discussing the match, The Miz shared that it would have been the biggest regret of his life if the bout had been stopped due to his injury.

"I'm very thankful that I was in that match with John Cena as well as Mike Chioda -- the referee -- as well as The Rock," The Miz said. "They took care of me. I don't know what would have happened if I go down and they just stop the entire match. That would have been the biggest regret of my life. I was safe and I was able to finish what needed to be done for this main event of WrestleMania. I'm forever thankful."

After the match was restarted following a double count out, The Rock would restart the bout, hitting Cena with a Rock Bottom to hand The Miz the victory and a win in a WrestleMania main event over Cena.

Elsewhere in another interview, The Miz spoke about his belief that fans will turn Cena back babyface due to enjoying his current heel turn so much. You can read more about that here.
