The Miz Throws His Name In The Hat For John Cena's Retirement Tour

The Miz wants to face off with John Cena during his retirement tour.

Few people can say they have beaten John Cena in championship matches over the years in WWE, but The Miz has accomplished that on the biggest stage of them all at WrestleMania. With John's retirement tour kicking off in the new year, there have been several pro wrestlers who have spoken about wanting to face off with Cena during his final run, including Joe Hendry.

While speaking on a recent episode of The Rich Eisen show, The Miz spoke about Cena's upcoming retirement tour and threw his name in the hat to face off with John during his final year as a pro wrestler.

"We'll never see John Cena in a match at WrestleMania ever again. When Cena says something, that's one of those things. Like sometimes it's like, oh, no, they'll be like Motley Crue. It's our last tour ever. Then they're on tour three years later. No, Cena's not like that. If Cena says this is it, this is it. And I'm curious to see who's going to go up against him because I'm putting my name in the hat. I'll heel that one out all day. Names in the hat."

The Miz defeated Cena at WrestleMania 27 to retain the WWE Championship with a little assistance from The Rock.

Elsewhere in the same interview, The Miz claimed he is not the heel in his story with R-Truth. You can read more about that here.
