Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes it one year as AEW World Champion.
MJF, against all odds, defeated Jay White to retain the AEW World Title at AEW Full Gear 2023. Thanks to the help of Adam Cole managed to retain the gold despite being injured and being named unfit to compete. Adam Cole was going to face Jay White on his behalf but Max stole an ambulance and made it back in time to defend the gold.
Max, with the help of the Dynamite Diamond Ring that was given to him by Adam, knocked out Austin & Colten Gunn and then knocked out Jay White to retain the gold and limped up the ramp with the help of his ROH Tag Team Championship partner, the also injured Cole.

With this victory, Max crosses the finish line of 365 days since he defeated Jon Moxley at Full Gear 2022 to gain the championship. He had previously already surpassed the record for longest reigning champion.
