MJF made it no secret that he was banged up at the end of 2023, notably dealing with a shoulder injury going into AEW Worlds End.
MJF lost the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End 2023 and took time off after the bout.
Speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, MJF was asked if he had shoulder surgery during his time away.
"I did go out. I hurt my shoulder. Did I have shoulder surgery? I am not...what do they call it when somebody asks about medical issues. Because of HIPPA violations, you really shouldn't ask me questions like that. My shoulder feels great. As you can tell, when I take my shirt off, I am the most in shape professional wrestler in my company. Not that that's hard. I would also say I'm the most in-shape professional wrestler, easily top five in the landscape," he stated.
Asked why he can't reveal whether he had shoulder surgery or not, MJF replied, "You're not very bright. It's not that there is a secret. My shoulder is good now. Shoulder feels good."
MJF is set to face Hangman Page at AEW Revolution.
Elsewhere during the interview, MJF commented on his role in "Happy Gilmore 2." You can find his full comments by clicking here.
