MJF bears his soul to the crowd in Memphis, Tennessee.
Explaining his betrayal of Daniel Garcia from the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Max explained that he viewed Garcia as a pawn. In fact, he wasn't trying to hurt Daniel Garcia, but he never planned on actually wrestling Daniel Garcia at Wembley Stadium, and he was always going to break his neck. He was trying to hurt the AEW fan base. He played a clip of himself saying he was afraid to let the crowd in because he worried they would turn their backs on him.
Max revealed that he feels the crowd did turn their backs on him as they cheered Samoa Joe after he defeated Max for the AEW World Championship. Now, because they embraced people like Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, he's going to take out everything they love.
MJF just baited the people.

He also said that Will Ospreay is a child who only cares about ratings from a guy named Meltzer, while he only cares about ratings from a guy named Nielsen. He teased Will Ospreay coming out, but it was a swerve. He closed the promo by saying his name was Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and you could thank him later.
